Take a tour into the world’s oldest desert estimated between 55 and 80 million years old.
The tour includes a visit to the sand dunes, where you can walk up the dunes and take breath taking photographs, followed by a short drive to the moon landscape.
This is the location for the recent Hollywood film “Mad Max, Fury Road”.
Here you will be able to take photographs of yourself in some of the exact locations from the film.
A visit to the Welwitchia plants is a must. It is the only living genus in its family. You will visit one magnificent plant which has been dated at over 2000 years old and still living.
It’s not unusual to see desert wildlife on this tour, including springbok, ostriches, kudus and gemsbok.

•Seal Colony Tour
Visit the Swakopmund salt pans, Ship wreck and Cape cross.
Cape cross is the largest Cape Fur seal Colony in the world, with up to 250 000 seals.
This is also the site where the Portuguese explorer, Diego Cao, arrived in 1486 and erected a Cross in the name of King Joao II.

•Walvis Bay Salt Pans
Visit Walvis Bay. A bird lovers heaven. You will visit the aptly named “Birds paradise”, Walvis Bay lagoon and salt pans with many different bird species, pelicans and thousands of flamingos.
The salt pans are huge salt lakes with different salt crystal formations and home to plentiful bird life.
The trip wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Dune 7, one of the largest sand dunes along the coastal dune belt. A magnificent view from the bottom, but even better views from the top if you are up for a challenging climb!

•Bushmen Cave Paintings
Visit one of Namibia’s most beautiful sites. This site is 120 million years old and has seen many generations of indigenous people. Here you will view many sites with intact bushman artworks between 2000 and 4000 years old.
This has also been a filming location for “2001 A Space Odyssey” and is a photographers dream with the dramatic rock formations.
